CRUISE TRAINING ACADEMY – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) establish the rules, responsibilities, and legal obligations governing the use of the Cruise Training Academy online platform, training programs, digital content, and related services. By enrolling in a course, accessing educational materials, or using any part of the platform, each participant agrees to comply with these Terms. Individuals who do not accept or agree to these Terms are not permitted to access or use the platform or any associated services.

1. DEFINITIONS

For the purpose of these Terms:

  • “Platform” means CTA’s online learning environment, including websites, portals, and digital materials.
  • “Course” means any online training program provided by CTA.
  • “Materials” include videos, presentations, documents, images, and assessments.
  • “Instructor” means a contracted professional delivering training.
  • “User Account” means your login credentials for accessing CTA services.

2. ELIGIBILITY

By enrolling, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or have guardian consent.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • All provided information is accurate and truthful.

CTA reserves the right to deny enrollment at its sole discretion.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY

You must maintain the confidentiality of your login information.
You agree not to share your account with third parties and to notify CTA of any unauthorized access.
CTA is not responsible for losses arising from misuse of your account.

4. COURSE ENROLLMENT & PAYMENT TERMS

All course fees must be paid in full prior to receiving access, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
CTA may update pricing at any time; however, fee changes do not apply to students already enrolled.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • International bank transfers
  • Approved third-party processors

You are responsible for taxes, bank fees, and currency conversion charges.

5. COURSE DELIVERY

CTA provides training exclusively online. Courses may include:

  • Live sessions
  • Assignments and assessments
  • Downloadable resources

CTA reserves the right to update or modify course content to ensure quality and accuracy.

6. CERTIFICATION

A Certificate of Completion may be issued if you:

  • Successfully complete all required course modules
  • Pass applicable assessments
  • Meet live session attendance requirements (when required)

CTA certificates are not government-issued and do not guarantee employment.

7. NO GUARANTEE OF EMPLOYMENT

CTA provides education and skill development only. CTA does not:

  • Guarantee a job placement
  • Guarantee employment by cruise lines
  • Represent itself as an employment agency unless explicitly stated

All hiring decisions are made exclusively by cruise companies.

8. REFUND POLICY

All sales are generally final unless required by local consumer law.

Refunds may be granted only in cases such as:

  • Duplicate payment
  • Technical access failures caused by CTA
  • Exceptional cases approved by CTA management

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 7 days of purchase.
CTA may offer partial refunds, course credit, or transfers at its discretion.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All course materials are the exclusive property of CTA or its instructors.

You agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute content
  • Record or repost live sessions
  • Upload materials to external websites
  • Use CTA content for commercial purposes without written permission

Unauthorized use may result in legal action and immediate account termination.

10. USER CONDUCT

Students must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Harassment or abuse of instructors or students
  • Sharing login details or course materials
  • Attempting to hack, damage, or disrupt the platform
  • Sharing harmful, false, or inappropriate content

CTA may suspend or remove users who violate these rules.

11. TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

You are responsible for maintaining:

  • A stable internet connection
  • A compatible computer or device
  • Updated software such as a modern browser and Zoom

CTA is not responsible for technical difficulties caused by your equipment or internet provider.

12. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

CTA aims to provide uninterrupted access but does not guarantee:

  • Continuous uptime
  • Error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all devices or configurations

Technical maintenance or interruptions may occur without prior notice.

13. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

CTA processes personal data in accordance with relevant data protection laws.

Your information may be used to:

  • Provide course access
  • Communicate updates and information
  • Issue certificates

CTA does not sell or share your personal data except with essential service providers.

CTA is not responsible for:

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CTA is not liable for:

  • Loss of income or employment opportunities
  • Technical issues outside CTA’s control
  • Instructor opinions, advice, or interpretations
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

CTA’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the course.

16. TERMINATION

CTA may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in abusive or disruptive behavior
  • Misuse course materials
  • Provide fraudulent payment or reverse a completed payment

Upon termination, all access to the platform and materials is revoked.

17. MODIFICATIONS TO THESE TERMS

CTA may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the website with the “Last Updated” date displayed.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. GOVERNING LAW
